With polls now closed, the short-lived election campaign has come to a close with Global News projecting Ford will win with another majority.

The province’s opposition leaders were critical of an early call, which Ford said was needed to combat U.S. President Donald Trump’s economic threats.
Marit Stiles, leader of the Ontario NDP, was able to hold onto the NDP’s position as the official opposition. Meanwhile, Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie, the former mayor of Mississauga, lost in her riding. The party, however, made gains.
The Green’s have stayed consistent, maintaining their two seats, including party leader Mike Schreiner winning his seat.
